Job Description
Exercise judgment to comply with policies and established procedures and to make decisions in the day-to-day operation of server or bartender at Persimmons Restaurant.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- At least 18 years old (NYS law to serve alcohol)
- The ability to read, write and follow instruction is necessary.
- The ability to count cash, make change and communicate well with the public.
- At least one year of cash handling experience.
- 2+ years of previous experience
- Availability for weekends & holiday’s
- Responsible for menu / drink knowledge
Responsibilities:
Provide friendly and efficient service to ensure customer satisfaction
Use POS terminal to add cost of food, beverages, collect money and make change.
Observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation.
Operate independently and without direct supervision to determine quantities of food and beverages needed per guest table
Maintain records such as number and dollar volume of sales, daily time record of hours worked, etc.

You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in company procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, can solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something.

Every team member should adhere to the properties security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
Physical Requirements:
Standing, bending, stooping, walking, lifting between 15-50 pounds daily.
